Dr Diwakar Raju is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists and Indian Orthodontic society, and he believes in two main philosophies.

Treating the child early, to minimize the environmental influence on the developing malocclusion, so that the child may not need braces at all in the later stage. If at all he/she needs, it will be for a short duration only. He carefully evaluates the link between the breathing pattern of the kid, enlarged tonsils or adenoids, nasal obstruction leading to mouth breathing, thumb sucking habit and their influence on the developing dentition and jaws, and advises on the ideal interventional therapy.

Treatment without removal of permanent teeth in most of the cases – Early intervention and treatment plan based on facial esthetics are the reasons why Dr Diwakar Raju treats most of his cases in the non-extraction way (without removing permanent teeth) and advises removal of permanent teeth only and only if its mandatory, to improve the oral health and appearance.

“As advised by the American association of Orthodontists, Dr Diwakar Raju recommends evaluating the child as early as age 7 to 8 years, that’s the age when deviation from the normal can be picked up and intervened, to aid the normal growth and development of jaws and the face.

Dr Diwakar Raju believes honesty is his strength, if you are looking for fancy treatment, there are many places in town, but if you are looking for a honest, dependable treatment option, you may want to consult him. He works with a primary intention to cure.”
