Composite Bonding

Composite bonding uses tooth coloured composite resin to repair chips, cracks, broken teeth or to improve the proportions of your smile.

What is composite Bonding?

Do you have minor tooth issues like discoloration, misalignment or spacing? Composite bonding is a dental procedure that maybe a good solution!!!

If you feel self-conscious about gaps or shapes of your teeth, a small amount of resin will be added to the affected tooth/teeth to improve its properties, color and appearance.

The resin is sculpted to the desired shape as it sets, so that it covers and fills your damaged teeth. The composite will match the color of your teeth to ensure a natural result. So that any difference will be hardly noticeable from your natural tooth. Composite bonding is a more affordable alternative to some cosmetic dental procedures like veneers.

Problems that composite bonding can address

Slight chips to the tooth | Slightly shorter teeth | Slightly misaligned teeth |Slightly spaced-out teeth | Discolored teeth

How composite bonding
is performed?

01

Smile design

We schedule a photo and video shooting session in our facility to collect information for a smile trial and then we design your ideal smile based on your requirements, facial shape and color and personal characteristics. We use our expertise to design an ideal smile for you.

02

Choose the shade

Once you are clear for the procedure, our dentist will then choose the shade of material that will match with your current set of teeth to ensure the filling looks as natural as possible. You can work with your dentist to choose the color which you desire! We love working with our patients as this always gives you a result which you are happy with.

03

Application of bonding

When your tooth or set of teeth are ready your dentist will then apply a resin which is molded and smoothened for proper shape. Once the resin has hardened, the dentist will then shape, polish and trim it further to give your smile that polished look.

Maintenance of composite bonding

Compared to other forms of cosmetic dentistry like Porcelain Veneers, composite bonding can be more susceptible to staining and chipping.

Reduce the intake of coffee, tea as these are very much known to cause stains on resin materials.

If you are a smoker, it would be highly advised to quit, this can be a good solution not just to the composite bonding, but to your overall dental and respiratory health as well.

Avoid biting or chewing on hard objects such as nails, pens, bone, candies and chocolate etc.

Ensure that you stick to your 6-month routine check-up with your dentist.
