Digital Indirect Bonding
At Shams, we are committed to offer the best possible treatment options to our patients. Digital Indirect Bonding is one of them.
What is DIB?
Conventional fixation of brackets will involve free-hand placement, which takes lot of time when the clinician struggles to position them in the right place. Digital Indirect Bonding allows digital placement of brackets on the patients 3D scan of their teeth using advance AI powered software, make the fine adjustments needed for a perfect finish with the help of AI, check the predicted treatment outcome, discuss with the patient and make changes if any. Once the predicted treatment outcome is approved by the patient, a set of transfer trays are designed and 3D printed over the digitally positioned brackets.
The doctor then uses these trays which will be loaded with the prescribed brackets, to precisely position the brackets onto the patient’s teeth, giving the patient a predictable precision in bracket placement and the treatment results there-after.
